April Camp Instructors:
Dave Swanson
Spent 11 years professionally, including stops with the minor league affiliates of the N.Y. Mets, Colorado Rockies, and Boston Red Sox organizations. He played with and for some of the best in baseball, including NY Mets pitcher Jason Isringhausen and Colorado Rockies 1B Todd Helton, along with current Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington, among several others.
Ryan Radmanovich
(Pepperdine University)
Former Major Leaguer with the Seattle Mariners (1998-99); spent time with Twins, Padres, Pirates and Mariners organizations; former member of 2004 & 2008 Canadian Olympic Teams. Radmanovich also coaches Swanson’s summer travel teams, the CT Tides
Mike Perry
(Post University)
Former RH pitcher, current GM of Swanson Baseball, and current head coach for Swanson’s 15u summer travel team, the CT Junior Tides.
Alex Sabia
(UCONN)
Alex is licensed by the State of Connecticut to practice as a Certified Athletic Trainer, and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Rob Perry
(Eastern CT State University)
Former outfielder for ECSU, named to the 2011 All New-England team, assistant coach for Swanson’s 15u summer travel team, the CT Junior Tides.
Steve Gentile
(Mitchell College)
Former four-year collegiate outfielder: has worked with SPBI since 2005. Gentile’s brother Scott played seven professional seasons with the Montreal Expos and Detroit Tigers organizations.
Dan Luisi
(Post University)
Former middle infielder, and current assistant coach at Post University. He was a two-year captain, and is the all-time hits leader.
Chris Cannata
(Eastern CT State University)
Former catcher at Eastern Connecticut State University played four years on the varsity team, assistant coach for Swanson’s 16u summer travel team, the CT Tides.
